WEEK 1
The height of the piece will be my height, so around 5'1" to make it so the viewer can see the box as me. Some other ideas that came about when talking about it was to add old phones (and maybe monitors) to make it so the viewer not only sees it as a person but maybe even themselves through the camera of the phones. Also painting a body could be something?? I think it would be cool to add to the fact that the box is me. On the page to the left is a list of some things to make the water change, although I definitely believe maybe adding more would help it not be boring. P.S. If anyone has old phones they would like to donate, that would be helpful!! <3
WEEK 2
I don't really have any pictures of what I did this week since most of what I did was do research on the type of glass I would need and the things that would go inside for it to come out as my vision. I also made like a paper model of what my thing would look like as a real life model, just in height though, I didn't really draw anything on it because the measurements weren't right and it was going to come out weird. My research also consisted of how I was going to build the stand where my tank is going to be, still haven't figured it out just because I still don't have any glass but I'll get it soon! But yeah that was it for this week :)
WEEK 3
I wasn't able to do anything on Tuesday except keep researching the things I need, I did however end up deciding on the glass so that's what I did on Thursday. I went to Lowes and got 6 (16"x 20") pieces of glass, I'm really only going to use 5 of those but just in case something happens to one of them, I have another to replace it with. I also got a silicone tube and a caulking gun for the silicone. Didn't really happen on Thursday (when this was due) but after work on Friday I went to the studio and put 2 of the glass pieces together, I realized after that I will need help putting them together and also having the 2 sides cut height-wise but other than that, that's what I did with the glass.
